The Ministries of Health and Long Term Care provides facilities like ours with basic dollars that must be used for nursing care, food, programs and accommodation. All other amenities that enhance the environment for our residents must be provided by the Unionville Home Society (UHS).
UHS, through the Unionville Home Society Foundation reaches out to the local and corporate community on an annual basis seeking financial support so that we can continue to make the Union Villa long-term care home and our other facilities a wonderful home for the seniors entrusted to our care.

PROJECT COMFORT EXCELLENCE
Launched in 2011, Project Comfort Excellence allows us to address our residents’ issues and needs.
There are many amenities and programs that would enhance the experience and environment for our residents but the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care does not consider them a priority and therefore are not funded by the Ministry.
At Unionville Home Society, we believe that our seniors deserve more than just basic care and basic comfort.
The initiative focuses on the renewal, replacement, and upgrading of vital resources and equipment, key components that go towards providing the comfort our residents so clearly deserve.
Together, we can directly enhance the quality of life for our residents and ensure that the best in care and comfort is yet to come.
