The C.R.E.W. stands for Campus Representatives for Engagement and Wellness with representation from all departments who meet to organize activities that will strengthen staff engagement and contribute to employee wellness.
C.R.E.W. Current Events:
SPRING FLING 2022 (April 25 – May 8, 2022) – Spring Fling is here and the games have begun!
To participate, simply pick up a ballot at the Screener desk between Monday, April 25 at 12:00 pm to Sunday, May 8, and complete one of five activities in the Heritage Lounge:
- Jelly Bean Guessing Game
- Yoga Exercise
- Community Art Board
- Walking Loop (An outdoor activity – a walking route map will be at the screener desk)
Deposit your ballot in the box located by the Screener desk. Only one (1) ballot may be submitted per day but there is no limit on how many games you play. The more you participate during these two weeks, the more chances you have to win. Raffle draws will occur on Monday, May 2 and Monday, May 9 with winners being announced in future Loops.
C.R.E.W. Event Archives:
Halloween Poster Challenge (October 2021)- This C.R.E.W. initiative brought out the best in teamwork, creativity, and of course, FUN. Teams were tasked with creating a Halloween inspired poster to hang up in the Heritage Lounge for family members, residents and fellow staff to see and judge for prizes.
The UHS Night Market (September 2021)- A celebration of diversity and staff engagement through food. Staff were able to sample a variety of foods from different cultures and countries with their colleagues in the courtyard and gardens.
UHS Summer Olympics (July/Aug 2021)- The purpose of this activity was to reinforce the
importance of regular exercise and its positive impact on mental health. Walking outdoors, taking in the fresh air was a definite mood booster and
UHS Staff Recipe Exchange (Ongoing)- Calling all home cooks and food lovers! As part of another exciting C.R.E.W. initiative to cultivate healthy lifestyles, we are asking you to send us your healthy recipes to share. They could be recipes that have been in the family for decades, or a more recent venture you had, as long as they are healthy and simple! Recipes can be submitted to any C.R.E.W. member or sent to email@example.com
