Reid joined the UHS board in July 2026. He has resided in Unionville since 2002 where he and his wife Susan Steele raised two sons. Reid was elected as the Markham city councillor for Ward 3 Unionville in 2018 and retired from that role in 2026. Prior to his role on council Reid worked primarily in the K-12 educational publishing industry for 25 years. He holds a BA (Hons) from Queen’s University and an MBA from London Business School (University of London).
